BS-086 is a UL/TUV standard advanced crushing test machine with color touch screen pannel and hand-held remote controller for the IEC 62133.8.3.5 and UN38.3 testing. An electric hydraulic pump allows the machine to achieve the required force for crushing the battery cells at variable speed, and also can control machine stop based on battery deformation and voltage drop.

  • Applicable to prismatic, pouch, coin/button cell and sylindrical cells less than 18.0mm in diameter

  • Four wheel is installed on bottom to make the box movable.
   Control Unit

  • 6" color touch screen control pannel for setting and display the parameters, such crushing force, dwell motion, time, crushing deformation and voltage change.
    • Deformation sensor accuracy: ± 0.1mm
    • Voltage sensor accuracy: ± 1.0 mV
  • Once parameter setup on the touch screen, a wireless hand-hold remote controller will operate machine within 10 meters distance for the most safe operatiion.
  • One pressure release door is built at the back of machine, the door will open in the case battery exploded to release pressure and smoking. (Pic 1)
  • 100 mm dia venting port at the back of the chamber for connecting an exhaust system at customer site. (Pic 2)
  • Warning:  Must keep venting fan and exhaust system running during battery testing to ensure chamber pressure not build up in the case battery explode.
