-This battery is built by 2qty 3.6V non-rechargeable cells in parallel. Because this type of cell (Primary Lithium Thionyl Chloride) is a high energy density cell, for safety, there are 2x diodes build into the battery, which prevent cells from charging each other. The diodes lower the voltage to 3.3V to 3.4V.  It is unsafe to build this type of battery without diodes.
