Protection Circuit Module for 2 Cells (7.4V) Li-Ion Pack with 20A Limit

This protection circuit is specially designed for 7.4V Li-Ion / polymer Li-Ion Battery pack with 20A discharging rate. Different than normal PCB, it provides equilibrium function after battery pack is fully charged. This is to balance each cell of the pack to make sure all cells are within 4.22V. With this function, Li-ion cell will have a longer service life. 

The PCM will provide the following protection:

• Keep 7.4V Li-Ion Battery pack from overcharge (4.2V/cell)
• Balance each cell at Max. 4.22/cell (voltage tolerance within 0.2V for each cell)
• Keep 7.4V Li-Ion Battery pack from overdischarge (2.48V/cell)
• Limit 7.4V Li-Ion Battery pack's discharging current below 20A.

• Internally trim Voltage limits to balance each cell. Must wait 30 minutes after fully charge to allow the pack to perform balance function before using.

• Excluded Fuel Gauge socket for connection to our Fuel Gauge display board to display battery energy level. 
  • In order display battery energy level from the PCB, you need to order a fuel gauge display here
    • Connect Red wire to P+ spot of PCB
    • Connect Black wire to P- spot of PCB

Tip:

• If you want to use this pcm for a battery that is rated less than 20A drain, you must add additional protection device to protect the battery itself. Such as: proper rated polyswitch.

Warning:

• It is designed for high power polymer Li-Ion cell listed in our website only
• Please make sure the AWG gauge of the wire will be compatible with maximum current load. Please click here to view the AWG gauge & AWG electronic current load limit chart.
• To achieve balance, each cell in battery pack must have equal voltage within tolerance of 0.2V. After charger LED turn Green, unplug charger and wait 30 minutes before use. This is for the pack to perform balance function.
• You must be professional in Li-Ion battery pack to buy the PCM for DIY. Misusing PCM may cause battery damage or explode.  We are not responsible for any damage caused by user.
