This Low-Power Solar Charge Controller with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) from Genasun is specially designed to recharge a 11.1V Li-Ion battery pack (with capacity > 5AH) up to a max of 4A charging current. With tiny self-consumption of 125 microamps in low light (1/20th to 1/50th as much as comparable controllers), this Solar Charge Controller connects between your solar panel and Li-Ion battery pack like any charge controller, but its sophisticated electronics allow the controller to operate the solar panel at its most efficient voltage, resulting in significant gains in power. In full sun, typical
gains for lithium-ion batteries are 10% - 40%. In partial-shade tests, we have seen gains as high as 56% from MPPT.
Another key feature is this Controller can take a maximum input voltage of upto 27Vdc and is made in USA
To learn how Maximum Power Point Tracking works have a look at About Maximum Power Point Tracking.
Note: if you purchase any of our 11.1V Li-Ion Pack to work with this solar controller, you need to order this CU-J387 for this controller to work properly.
