Review for LiFePO4 26650 Battery: 12 V 7AH (89 Wh, 20A rate)
i_saha ( from NJ) 4/5/2012 10:23 AM
Purchased a LiFePO4 26650 Battery (12V, 7AH) as a replacement for a SLA. The shipment arrived within expected timeframe, well packed. It was amazing how light it was! The physical dimensions matched exactly the old SLA. Hoping that it will give me couple of years of maintainance free service.

Great battery for replacing lead
Jay Groh (Wheelersburg, OH) 1/27/2010 9:46 AM
This battery works great in my small UPS. Although this LiFePO4 is about 5x the cost of lead I'm hoping it will last 5x longer than lead battery it replaced. Only time will tell. Might not want to run this battery at 25A or about 300 watts because the terminals get very hot and the battery casing gets very warm. Might want to keep it under 200 watts. The PCB does a great job to protect the battery from over discharge and over current. I don't know about over charging since my UPS only charges it to 13.96v. By my estimates this is getting me to about 70% charge or more. Which can also be a good thing to keep the battery lasting longer.
