The smart switch is designed for HID bike light.  The switch regulates input DC voltage from 13.5V - 18V to stable 13.2V , which is the best operation voltage for HID bike light.  You can connect the smart switch to 14.8V Li-Ion battery pack  make HID light brighter and service life longer ever
