I like the CH-P1000 Smart Battery Charger especially. Thanks to its light weight and compact design, I always pack it into my luggage when I travel. An included car adapter also helps me to charge dead batteries on the go. The charging speed is fast. For four 2250 mAh AA NiMH batteries, it takes less then 3 hours for a full charge. The smart charging feature reduces the possibility of battery damage due to over-charging. This is the most important feature why I bought this charger. Recently, the power adapter case was cracked without any reason. I fixed it with electric tape. The only thing I hope this charger would offer is it could charge odd-number batteries.
I use the rechargeable AA and AAA-NiMH's mainly in toys, flashlights, portable CD player, digital camera, walkie talkies, etc. and have found them to be very reliable and perform well in my moderate uses. In my experience, those NiMH batteries perform like regular alkaline batteries and NiCd batteries are out of my league since then. Since this is the first NiMH batteries I used, I cannot tell how good they are compared to other brands. So far, none of them dies on me.
So far, I am satisfied with the performance of both battery charger and those AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. I also recommend my family and friends to buy rechargeable batteries and chargers from batteryspace.com. They are happy, too.
