powers any USB device, at a great price

I've been looking for an external battery pack to keep my iPod nano powered when away from a power source. This battery holder has allowed me to power my iPod nano through the battery holder using 4 AA batteries. In using rechargable Ni-Mh's (2500 mAh), I kept my iPod nano running for over 8 hours on a roadtrip, non-stop, with the backlight continuously on, skipping through songs at will. The road trip ended before the battery pack ran out of juice to switch to the internal battery. For the price, this can't be beat.
Overall though, a great product for a steal of a price.

MUST HAVE for MINI USB CHARGING

I have lots of gadgets around and all but a few use non-standard batteries. Many of them have special power supplies for charging. Now, some new goodies are coming out with mini-USB ports for charging. We all have rechargeable AA batteries around but until now, there's been no way to uses them as backups batteries for these. This external power pack allows you to use 4xAA batteries to power your USB device. What's even better is that it outputs enough current that you can probably CHARGE your device too. I have an HTC TyTn phone that requires 800mA of current at 5V to charge. Good luck finding many adapters that can supply that! If you use hi-capacity batteries you can actually supply more power than most of the $60 custom batteries that are out there. The best part is that you can use it on your phone, on your Ipod, or on ANYTHING that can be powered or charged from a USB port. If you travel, you'll appreciate the availability of AA batteries around the world.
