The Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) is used to disconnect loads from Lithium battery pack when it becomes over discharged. This will prevent damage and reduction of capacity due to over-discharge. LVD is designed as part of low cost solution for low voltage systems (48V and below), such as golf carts. A complete low cost solution will include Lithium battery pack, cell balancing circuit, Lithium battery charger and LVD circuit. LVD Product Specifications:
- Two inputs: Key Switch and Ground
- Two outputs: Non-delayed output and delayed output
- Pack voltage setting/jumper selection: 12V/24V/36V/48V (select one)
- LVD threshold voltages: 11.6V / 23.2V / 34.8V / 46.4V (corresponding to pack voltage setting)
- LVD alarm triggering: Below LVD threshold voltage for 30 seconds
- Max LVD output current: 2.0 A continuous, surge: 8A
- Power On time delay: 0 second for non-delayed output and 5 seconds for delayed output
- Disconnect time delay: 15 second for non-delayed output and 30 seconds for delayed output
